Waldo: Chapter Four

        ~We walked through many streets, as I stayed close to Timmy. I kept wondering how my life would be now that I was free. Would I live to prove to the world, that being blind doesn't hold me back? Or, would a dog or feral cat kill me on the spot, taking advangatage of my blindness? I gulped, thinking what might happen to me. But, no matter what, I had to be bold. I had to. It was just so hard in new surroundings.

Finnally, after walking another mile or two, I heard Timmy's english voice whisper, "Waldo, we're here." I scented strange cats and could hear pawsteps. "Bone and Licorice must be mousing," Timmy mewed and then, he and Sora led me into a dark caved-in area.

I looked around it. It reeked of garbage and rotting fish. I also smelt faint cat scent over the odor. Than, I noticed....it must be that Ratkiller guy they were talking about. I gulped, noticing he even smelt brutal. Be bold, I kept trying to tell myself, but nothing seemed to work, especially when a deep, husky voice hissed, "Timmy, Sora, who is THIS?"

I could scent Timmy tensing and wondered what past he had with Ratkiller. Was it good, bad? Did he admire him? Were they related? Was he there when Ratkiller had lost his eye? So many choices! I just couldn't wait to hear Ratkiller's backstory. "His name is Waldo," Sora meowed, Timmy was most likely too shaken up to speak. "Waldo the Bold," he added, with a small chuckle. "He was dumped and hit his head pretty hard. Oh, and he's blind."

I could feel Ratkiller's susposion growing. "Dumped? Blind? Bold?" he asked. "Sora, who found this cat?"

"Timmy did," Sora answered, angering me a bit. Nobody found me, I found sombody!

I could feel Ratkiller's anger growing stronger, but it soon relaxed. "Well, Timmy," he said, spitting out the name Timmy as if it were the name of the world's most evil cat. "I'll have to congratulate you, on finding my new deputy."
